At Made In Verse, we value and respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data when you use EcoDefender, a mixed reality application available on the Meta Quest platform.

1. Data We Collect
We collect the minimum personal and technical data necessary to provide a functional, secure, and age-appropriate gaming experience. The following data may be collected in the context of the application:
1.1 Data Collected Through the Meta Quest Platform
- User ID (Meta Horizon User Identifier): Used to link the user to their profile within the application.
- User Age Group: Used to apply restrictions or adjustments according to the user’s age and to comply with applicable regulations.
- Headset Movement: We collect information on headset position and movement to enable specific functions and ensure an immersive experience.
- Passthrough: We access the device’s passthrough functionality to enable mixed reality features within the game.
1.2 What We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect sensitive personal data such as name, address, voice, or image.
- We do not access the device’s camera or microphone, except for the passthrough functionality mentioned above.
- We do not directly collect financial information.
- We do not track users across applications or use personalized advertising technologies.
2. How We Use the Data
The data collected is used exclusively for the purposes described below:
2.1 Use of Game-Related Data
- User ID and Age Group: Used to identify the user and apply age-appropriate content settings, in compliance with GDPR (Art. 8), COPPA, and Meta’s policies.
- Headset Movement and Passthrough: Enable improved immersive experiences and interactive mixed reality functions within the game.
- Payment Data: The application is paid. All payment processing and financial information are handled directly by the Meta Quest platform. We do not access or process this information.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
- Legal compliance, particularly regarding the protection of minors.
- Legitimate interest, to provide a safe and functional gaming experience.
- Consent, when required by applicable law (e.g., in the case of minors).
4. Data Retention and Deletion
- Data is stored while the user actively uses the application.
- In case of inactivity or deletion request, personal data will be deleted within a maximum of 30 days, unless there is a legal obligation to retain it.
- Technical and usage data will be retained in an aggregated and anonymous form for statistical and service improvement purposes.
5. User Rights
The user, or their legal guardian if underage, has the right to:
- Request access to their personal data.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of their data (“right to be forgotten”).
- Request data portability.
- Object to processing or request restriction.
